CUGI Perugia 94

Cugini Perugia 94 is holding tryouts June 20 and 21 at Baron Cameron Park, Reston, Field # 6, 5:00-7:0pm  for 3 open spots for the Fall 2005 Season. After June 21, tryouts by appointment only if spots remain. AC Cugini, an Italian scuola calcio (soccer school) and club whose teams practice in Reston, is sanctioned by the Italian National Olympic Committee and the Italian Soccer Federation (FIFC). Scholarships available. The school's focus is on the long-term development of each player according to highly successful Italian training methods. The team, which placed 2nd in the 2005 Bull Run Tournament,  is  professionally trained year round by Cugini President Fabio Diletti, a former semipro player in Italy and professional scout, as well as  by Head Coach Raffaele Spadaro, who holds both UEFA and FIGC licenses. Raffaele, who owned a soccer school in Italy affiliated with professional Italian club Juventus, is currently JV Boys Soccer Coach at Marshall High School in McLean.  The team receives additional training from UEFA  "A" licensed instructors and talent scouts from Italy in Virginia each Summer. All team members have the opportunity to train in Italy as part of the club's Thanksgiving coach and player training in Rome program. Some team members will travel to Italy June 2005 to participate in 2 tournaments for Cugini's 5th annual Soccer in Italy program, which recently won an award from the Italian National Olympic Committee.
