Each year the ODSL honors a single referee with the
Bill Brazzle Award. The award is based upon recommendations from ODSL teams who notify the League about referees with exceptional skills.
The award is named for its first recipient, Bill Brazzle, who died suddenly in 2002. Bill was a generous person, giving freely of his time to mentor young referees, players, and parents about sportsmanship, while instilling a love for the game.
